Bid Manager Do you often get involved in bids too late in the process and with too little detail ? Ideally you’d want to be involved from the very beginning through to submission/delivery, right ? I’m currently working on an opportunity which is truly end to end with heavy involvement from the capture phase, the work will kick off Pre PQQ. Responsibility also sits with the Bid Manager to mentor key stakeholders throughout the process to gain an understanding of the complexity of what the client wants to ensure that the approach suits. This role is all about the capture and influence element of the bid, to tailor the approach accordingly. Within this truly global firm the projects are significant – ££multi million complex programmes which deliver critical services across Defence, Emergency services, Rail, Aviation, Marine and Utilities. Experience gained within these sectors is truly advantageous. Internally, from a process and methodology standpoint, they use the Shipley Process. Experience within this is ideal but all other full cycle marketing and sales lifecycle methodologies are considered. More important is the ability to do the facilitation piece around this, to mentor where required, to run and chair workshops. You’ll be joining an organisation at a time of significant change and improvement.
